Prototype of the twelve-level system of a human face in physiognomy is the sacred Egyptian or otherwise to tell Pythagorean triangle which was a key geometrical figure in ancient Egyptian geometry, and also in mathematics of Pythagoras. As the sacred triangle has proportional ratio of sides 3:4:5, that corresponds with twelve levels of a face (3+4+5=12), and also is comparable to astrological circle as twelve signs of the zodiac are known in astrology. Hence, facial features or lineaments in a context of twelve-level physiognomic system are comparable to proportions of the sacred Egyptian or Pythagorean triangle, and also comparable to twelve zodiacal signs and planets in astrology, that is shown on the chart.
The conditional contour of a human face is divided
into twelve levels which form twelve-level physiognomic system at the left on
the chart. Facial levels or lineaments correspond with astrological planets and zodiacal signs:
- top of forehead - Sun and Leo;
- middle of forehead - Moon and Crab;
- eyebrows - Mercury and Gemini;
- top of nose bridge - Proserpine and Taurus;
- middle of nose bridge - Mars and Aries;
- bottom of nose bridge - Neptune and Pisces;
- nose-tip - Uranus and Aquarius;
- interval between nose and upper lip - Saturn and Capricorn;
- upper lip - Jupiter and Sagittarius;
- lower lip - Pluto and Scorpio;
- interval between lower lip and chin - Venus and Libra;
- chin - Chiron and Virgo.
The right half of chart shows the sacred Egyptian triangle within the limits of
astrological circle which is divided into twelve parts according to twelve parts
of the sacred triangle. Namely lines proceed from the geometrical center of
triangle and cross points which divide sides of triangle into 12 parts, and as a
result the astrological circle too is divided by lines into 12 parts, that is
comparable to twelve zodiacal signs, but the sizes of 12 parts are others rather
than sizes of signs on the zodiac in astrology.
The small cathetus of the sacred triangle includes 3 parts, the big cathetus
includes 4 parts, the hypotenuse includes 5 parts. To the small cathetus there
correspond astrological signs of the zodiac: Leo, Crab, Gemini. To the big cathetus
there correspond signs of the zodiac: Taurus, Aries, Pisces, Aquarius.
To the hypotenuse there correspond zodiacal signs: Capricorn, Sagittarius,
Scorpio, Libra, Virgo.
Parities of planets and signs of the zodiac with physiognomic levels of
a human face allow to understand physiognomy from the view point of
astrology, namely astrological meanings of planets and zodiacal signs allow to understand
psychological characteristics which are connected to facial features or lineaments.
Top of forehead - zodiacal sign Leo.
The Leo in astrology is a zodiac symbol of a respect self-esteem and noble relation to people.
If the top of forehead is expressed then the man or woman has a philosophical
sight on the world and understands people, namely Leo realizes public opinion
according to which people estimate his person.
Middle of forehead - zodiacal sign Crab.
The Crab in astrology is a sign of emotional and impressionable perception of
outward things in world around.
If the middle of forehead is expressed then another's ideas are displayed in

Or it is possible to consider division of astrological circle into twelve parts not only concerning geometrical center of the sacred Egyptian triangle, but also concerning other points. Namely except for geometrical center in the sacred Egyptian or otherwise to tell Pythagorean triangle it is possible to take points of linear crossings as reference points for division of astrological circle into twelve parts, that is shown on the following chart.

These points are reference centers concerning which the astrological
circle can be divided into twelve parts. Namely if lines proceed from
any noted point and coincide with division of the sacred Egyptian
triangle into twelve parts then such lines divide astrological circle
into twelve parts which differ from traditional signs of the zodiac. Such geometrical method of non-uniform division of astrological circle is not known in the contemporary astrology, but this method can be interesting to researches. |
