The square table of psychological types (psycho-types) is regular as
mental functions are ordered according to verticals and horizontals of
the table, and also psychological directions of a person are ordered
according to quarters of the table. In each quarter there is an
identical ratio of mental functions with verticals and horizontals, and
in essence the table is made of four squares, in each of which similar
mental functions are displayed, as the regular order of mental functions
in any of squares is similar to the regular order of mental functions in
other squares. But squares differ with kinds of psychological directions
of a person, namely in squares there are psycho-types having different
kinds of extraversion and introversion.
Active extraverts (top right quarter of the table)
have a psychological direction of a person according to which aspire in
the objective not personal world, and processes of the personal
subjective world are passive, namely external processes and events are
dynamical, and internal processes and events are inert.
Active introverts (bottom left quarter of the
table) have a psychological direction of a person according to which are
closed in the personal subjective world, and processes of the objective
world are passive, namely internal processes and events have dynamics,
and external processes and events are inert.
Obvious introverts (top left quarter of the table)
have a psychological direction of a person according to which are closed
in the personal subjective world, but can aspire in the objective not
personal world, namely internal or external processes and events have
identical inertia, but can be dynamical.
Obvious extraverts (bottom right quarter of the
table) have a psychological direction of a person according to which
aspire in the objective not personal world, but can be closed in the
personal subjective world, namely internal or external processes and
events have identical dynamics, but can be inert.
It is necessary to tell that in the book "Psychological types"
C.G.Jung described the common directions of consciousness and directions
of unconsciousness, and also described the mixed directions of a human
person according to which the extraverted type of a person shows
attributes of introversion or the introverted type of a person shows
attributes of extraversion, that is possible to compare to attributes of
active or obvious introversion and attributes of active or obvious
extraversion in the shown square table of psychological types. It
differs from postulates of socionics and I.Brigs-Majers's typology which
are derivatives from C.G.Jung's analytical psychology, but they do not
consider the mixed combinations of introversion and extraversion though
initially C.G.Jung wrote about existence of the mixed psychological
types in which attributes of introversion and extraversion are
connected.
However, in a context of socionics there are opinions that adjacent
directions of a person and adjacent mental functions have mixing and as
a result one of adjacent psychological parameters prevails of another in
the certain percentage parity, that provides necessary psychological
balance which is sufficient for satisfactory existence in the world. But
nevertheless in a context of socionics the perfect symmetry of adjacent
psychological parameters is denied, and it is incorrect as symmetry of
logic and ethics, sensory and intuitions, introversion and extraversion
provides the integrated unity of a human person about which in the
Gnostic texts of Gospel of apostle Philip it is written: "Light and
Darkness, life and death, right and left, are brothers of one another.
They are inseparable. Because of this neither are the good good, nor
evil evil, nor is life life, nor death death. For this reason each one
will dissolve into its earliest origin. But those who are exalted above
the world are indissoluble (whole or unbroken), eternal."
If to look at the best samples of Christian icons then it is possible to
see wonderful symmetry of eyes of Jesus Christ that shows harmony of
introversion and extraversion, and shows the perfect integrity and
harmony of the person if to see Christian icons from the view point of
analytical psychology.
If not to take into account attributes of introversion and extraversion
then the regular order of mental functions within the framework of the
square table of psycho-types can be reduced and resulted in the simple
kind according to which all possible combinations of mental functions
are stacked in one smaller square. Or otherwise it is possible to tell
that four squares of the table of 64 psycho-types can be connected in
one square that is shown on the chart:
![]() |
As it is possible to see, the regular order of mental
functions in the smaller square is similar to the big table of 64
psycho-types. Namely the obvious logic, active ethics, active logic and
obvious ethics have a similar ratio with verticals, and also obvious
intuition, active sensory, active intuition and obvious sensory have a
similar ratio with horizontals, if to compare quarters of the big table
to the small square. Letters T F N S correspond to the international notation of mental functions in a context of typology of I.Brigs-Majers. Red color shows evident rational types; blue color shows evident irrational types; yellow color shows contrast types; green color shows harmonious types. In the shown small square attributes of introversion and extraversion are not taken into account, and consequently eyes of symbolical physiognomies have no values, namely are shown by conditional lines. Numbers in cells of the square correspond to a magic arrangement and are serial numbers of the shown types. The information on necessity of application of a magic arrangement of numbers for a designation of serial numbers look in the other section of this site: transactions where mutual relation of types are considered. |
The shown chart is the table of functional types of a human person as
mental functions are taken into account and psychological directions of
a person are not taken into account, namely eyebrows are taken into
account as physiognomic attributes of rational mental functions (logic
and ethics), and corners of a mouth are taken into account as
physiognomic attributes of irrational mental functions (intuition and
sensory), and there are no values at eyes which are physiognomic
attributes of psychological directions of a person (introversion and
extraversion).
Functional types allow to compare structure of a human person to
fundamental world qualities and elements which are known from ancient
Greek philosophy and are applied in a modern astrology.
And also functional types allow to analyze complex structure of a human
person separately, namely first of all it is possible to analyze mental
functions as system of 16 functional types within the framework of the
small square, and then possible to analyze combinations of mental
functions with psychological directions of a person as system of 64
psycho-types within the framework of the big table, that allows to see
similar psycho-types which have identical type of functionality but
differ with kinds of introversion and extraversion.
The following page results the information on fundamental world qualities and elements in comparison with mental functions of a human person, and also speaks about perception of global world categories.
