The third page shows typological charts according to which conducting and minor mental functions of 16 psychological types of Brigs Majers Indicator and socionics correspond with physiognomy of a human face and global world categories, and also describes features of mental functions in harmonious, contrast, explicit psychological types of analytical physiognomy. |
Mental functions form the complex of a human person and have different
degrees of displays that forms system of 16 psychological types in the Brigs
Majers Type Indicator and socionics. Namely each psychological type has one
conducting most significant function and has minor functions which determine
distinctive features of type:
- the first conducting mental function is strong;
- the second mental function is actual;
- the third mental function is weak;
- the fourth mental function is non-actual;
- the fifth mental function is latent strong;
- the sixth mental function is latent actual;
- the seventh mental function is latent weak;
- the eighth mental function is latent non-actual.
It is possible to correlate the sequence of mental functions to
characteristics of planets in astrology:
- the first strong mental function corresponds with characteristics of the Sun;
- the second actual mental function corresponds with characteristics of the Moon;
- the third weak mental function corresponds with characteristics of the Mars;
- the fourth non-actual mental function corresponds with characteristics of the
Venus;

If the psychological type is extraverted but shows attributes of introversion,

become realized and realized positions become latent.

For example, if 14th psychological type of analytical physiognomy is usually shown as logic-intuitive introverted type but shows attributes of extraversion, and in essence is shown as logic-intuitive extraverted type, then the fifth latent logic function, connected to perception of sign energy Te, is shown as the first realized function. In result the person is as though reoriented on perception of other global world category, namely logic function is reoriented from perception of detailed matter Tm on perception of sign energy Te. And also other mental functions are reoriented on perception of other world categories, that is possible to see above in the shown typological charts. |
If harmonious or contrast psychological types of analytical physiognomy are shown as different psychological types of Brigs Majers Type Indicator and socionics then in this case also latent positions become realized and realized positions become latent, and besides intensity of displays of mental functions change.

For example, if 10th harmonious psychological type or 64th contrast psychological type of analytical physiognomy are shown as logic-intuitive introverted type but another time shown as intuitive-logic introverted type then first realized strong logic function Tm is shown as the sixth latent actual, namely turns from realized in latent and turns from strong in actual, that changes intensity of display. And as the first realized strong there is a display of intuitive function Ns which before was the sixth latent actual. And also other mental functions turn from realized in latent and turn from latent in realized, and are shown with the changed intensity, that is feature of harmonious and contrast psychological types of analytical physiognomy. |
If explicit psychological types of analytical physiognomy function according to the third function that changes intensity of displays on 2-3 and 6-7 positions then in some cases latent positions become realized and realized positions become latent, and also in some cases 1-5 or 4-8 positions remain former.

And besides there are changes of intensity of displays on 2, 3, 6, 7 positions where actual intuitive function Nt is shown as weak and weak sensory function St is shown as actual, and also latent actual intuitive function Ns is shown as latent weak, and latent weak sensory function Ss is shown as latent actual. |
Pay attention that distinction of explicit and contrast psychological types
consists that obvious psychological types can function according to the third
weak function which is unobvious, but contrast psychological types can not as
the third weak function is passive. Therefore weakness of the third function in
contrast types is shown differently rather than in explicit types.
These are the basic features of displays of mental functions in harmonious,
contrast, explicit psychological types of analytical physiognomy, but it is
necessary to take into account more complex ratio of features. For example, if
any contrast psychological type shows attributes of different types, and also
shows attributes of extraversion or introversion then features are more complex.
